Using a different image to start with on photoshop gave me an insight of what photograph I wanted to use when finalizing my coursework. I left all of the conventions and fonts in black and white as I knew that the girl in my photograph was wearing a black and white outfit. I also realised that the background would bring some colour to my magazine front cover. I made a few changes to my finalized piece in order to stand out more against the image I used, for example the colours of my skyline and changing the colours of the lines that segregate the cover lines. I used a white font for "Nicole" and her quote on the front cover to separate it from the other information, and so the target audience can easily determine the main story of the magazine.
